What is i core ???
- i core is a processor which can process normal data as well as Graphics so that you don't need additional graphic card to run small scale graphic applications
- All core i processors have number of multiple individual processor cores and an integrated Graphic Processor Unit (GPU) packed in a single physical package.
- GPU contains all the necessary hardware in it to calculate the floating point values of graphics.
- GPU also helps to render graphics smoothly without the need of an external Graphic card.
- Core i processors run on DDR3 technology.
What is Core i7 and how did it get its name ???
- The core i7 processor consists of 6 individual Processor cores and one Graphic processing unit(GPU).
- With this architecture the core i7 processor can do extreme processing and simultaneously provide Graphics support with its GPU.
- 6 processor cores + 1 GPU core = 7 cores. Hence the name core i7

There are two editions in it. 32nm & 45nm. nm means nano meter. This refers to the level of fabrication of the processor. 32nm is much advanced nano technology when compared to 45nm.
